Opticore IT is a specialist Network Engineer and Project Management consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within fast-paced, challenging environments across our client base spanning multiple sectors including Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications and more.

Opticore IT are currently searching for a Zscaler SME to focus on executing project deliverables associated to the below workstreams. You'll join our excelling team, based in the London area for an initial 12-month contract inside IR35. This role requires one day onsite in White City per week.

This opportunity will work alongside a project manager and architect to implement approved designs across the cloud network for an enterprise level broadcast media organisation. This individual will take full ownership over the full Zscaler product suite.

What you'll be doing:

Phase 1:

  • Digest defined guardrails/standards

  • Review reports from Zscaler detailing their policy improvement recommendations for Wildcard Policy

Phase 2:

  • Review user granularity and application segmentation functionality.

  • Use terraform template to create automated changes to implement improvements

  • Raise changes through change process

  • Deployment of App Segments, Groups, Servers Groups, Access Policies based on Design review defined in ZPA App segmentation below using terraform

Zscaler Private Access DR:

  • Configure the ZPA DR within Zscaler Admin portal

  • Creating necessary infrastructure (PSE Nodes, DR App Connectors),

  • Perform OAT/UAT testing with a set of users before enabling it company wide.

Opengear out of band management:

  • Using documented design to implement new out of band hardware in major sites across the business

POP ISP replacement:

  • Failover internet services (excluding Primary DMZ) to Brick Lane, this in addition will demonstrate PoP Failover capabilities for the perimeter

  • Fail back Internet services to new circuit

What you'll bring:

  • Strong Zscaler experience (ZPA, ZIA, ZDX)

  • Strong networking routing and switching (BGP/GRE/PBR)

  • Traditional Firewall/Security (ASA/Palo)

  • Experience of out of band management systems (Opengear)

  • Linux operating systems and Hypervisor (Proxmox)
