Opticore IT are currently searching for a Senior Network Security Engineer who is operating at an Palo Alto SME, to come and join the team. You'll join our excellent team on an initial 6-month contract with scope to extend, based in Central Europe.

You'll be acting as the Subject Matter Expert for Palo Alto SASE, with a strong focus on Prisma Access. Leading the design, implementation, optimisation, and support of secure access solutions for enterprise customers.

What you'll be doing:

• Deliver end-to-end implementation of SASE / Zero Trust architectures

• Work closely with customers to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into secure network designs

• Configure and troubleshoot:

• GlobalProtect (remote access VPN)

• Service Connections & Remote Networks

• Security policies, NAT, and routing

• Integrate Prisma Access with existing infrastructure (e.g., firewalls, identity providers, SIEM tools)

• Provide technical workshops, knowledge transfer, and documentation to customers

• Support migration from legacy VPN or on-prem firewall solutions to cloud-delivered security

• Troubleshoot complex networking and security issues across hybrid environments

• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, support, project management) to ensure successful delivery

• Stay up to date with Palo Alto Networks technologies and SASE trends

What you'll bring:

• Must be fluent in English and German

• History of delivering major Prisma Access projects

• Strong experience with Palo Alto Networks technologies, especially Prisma Access, PAN-OS firewalls

• Solid understanding of Networking fundamentals (BGP, IPsec, routing, NAT), Security principles, zero trust, segmentation, threat prevention

• History of delivering customer-facing professional services engagements

• Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Familiarity with authentication technologies (SAML, LDAP, MFA)

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
