Opticore IT is a specialist Network Engineer and Project Management consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within fast-paced, challenging environments across our client base spanning multiple sectors, including Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications and more.

Opticore IT are currently searching for a Senior Network Security Engineer who is able to operate as a Palo Alto SME, to come and join the team. You'll join our excellent team on an initial 6-month contract with scope to extend, based in Basel.

You'll be acting as the Subject Matter Expert for Palo Alto SASE, with a strong focus on Prisma Access. Leading the design, implementation, optimisation, and support of secure access solutions for enterprise customers.

What you'll be doing:

• You’ll be an advocate of Opticore, working with our client, who is a leader in security, delivering multiple projects focused on their Prisma Access solution.

• Working on high-visibility, customer-facing projects across the Palo Alto Networks portfolio

• Designing and deploying Palo Alto Prisma Access solutions

• Architecting and managing SASE integrations, including Next-Gen Firewalls (PAN-OS), GlobalProtect and Cloud Identity providers

What you'll bring:

• You must be fluent in English and German

• History of delivering major Prisma Access projects

• Hands-on experience with Extended Expertise in Palo Alto Prisma Access (SASE), PAN-OS,, Panorama & GlobalProtect

• A consultative mindset that comes with a level of assertiveness with a degree of knowledge. Able to defend the project, pushing back to the clients

• Comfortable designing HLDs and LLDs
