Opticore IT are currently searching for a Project Manager with a history of delivering infrastructure projects, on time and under budget, to come and join the team. You'll join our Project and Programme Management Practice, based in the London area, and help our Broadcast Media client manage the upgrade of all ECP servers to Windows Server 2019, 2022, or 2025, as well as any servers that can’t be upgraded to the legacy tenant. This is a contract opportunity, working on a 12-month project, inside IR35

What you'll be doing:
- Ensuring timely delivery of the automated Windows Server 2025 build and prerequisite code upgrades.
- Upgrading ECP servers to Windows Server 2019, 2022, or 2025, and moving non-upgradable servers to the Legacy tenant with documented risks.
- Driving end-to-end delivery of the Windows 2016 EoL remediation programme within time and budget.
- Maintaining strong governance, risk, and compliance with security, operational, and audit standards.
- Acting as liaison between EP, Core Engineering, Security, and business teams to align priorities and report progress.
- Adjusting communication style to sustain engagement and momentum throughout delivery.
- Preparing for handover to Core Engineering, embedding agile lifecycle management, and capturing lessons learned.
- Managing budgets, forecasts, and resources to optimise value and control costs.
What you'll bring:
- Strong Governance, with a history of accurate reporting, risk and issues management, budget management, and strong dependency management
- Good, clear, transparent communication skills
- Previous delivery using both Agile and Waterfall, with the ability to switch between both
- A history of using Jira to run sprint backlogs, perform sprint planning and backlog grooming
- Previous exposure to resource and capacity planning
